5 Improving connectivity in East London TfL is exploring proposals for a number of new connections across the River Thames This plan could deliver up to: New River Crossings for London (including crossings, tunnels and bridges)

7 Improving connectivity in East London Empty docks ! In East London, the river and it’s docks were once full of ships…... all the activity has moved elsewhere The docks used to be thriving with activity......but are all empty now

8 Improving connectivity in East London There are 34 bridges across the Thames but only one east of Tower Bridge...... this is a legacy of London’s maritime history, when river traffic was at its peak and the docks were thriving.
