Football is my favorite sport. It is a dynamic and interesting game. If you are a good footballer you should be fast and you should have very good passes and shoots. Officially England is considered homeland of this sport. The first unofficial rules are created by the University of Cambridge in 1846. Football is played every day by millions of people in more than 200 countries. It’s a very popular sport. In many parts of the world, especially in Europe, South America and Africa, football causes big emotions. Millions of people play in amateur teams or visit stadiums to support their favorite teams or just watch football matches on TV, the Internet or listen on the radio. I think that football is the most exciting sport.

Here are Angel’s questions: Which continents football is mostly played in? Europe, South America and Africa. Who won the World Cup in Germany in 2006? Italy. Who was the only football player who was nominated at the same time with Messi and Ronaldo and won the Golden Ball? Kaka.

My favourite sport is basketball. Basketball is the most popular sport after football. Basketball is a sport played by two teams of five players on rectangular court. A team can score a goal by shooting the ball through the basket during regular play. The ball can be advanced on the court by throwing it to a teammate or by bouncing it while walking or running (dribbling). FIBA (International Basketball Federation) was formed in 1932 by eight nations – Argentina, Czechoslovakia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Portugal, Romania and Switzerland. Women’s basketball began in 1892 at Smith College when Senda Berenson, a physical education teacher, modified the rules for women.

Here are Violeta’s questions: Who invented basketball and when? An American professor – Dr. James Naismith in 1891. Who is the best basketball player in the world? Michael Jordan. When was the first basketball game held? 21 st December, 1891.

Tennis is one of the most popular sports in the world. The modern game of tennis originated in Birmingham, England. It is played with a tennis racket and a ball. The two players have to pass the ball. The player who is unable to return the ball doesn’t gain a point. The best tennis player in the world is Novak Djokovic. The best Bulgarian tennis player is Grigor Dimitrov who is in 25 place in world ranking.

Here are Konstantin’s questions: Who is in 3 rd place in the world tennis rankings? Roger Federer. Who is the best Bulgarian tennis player at the moment? Grigor Dimitrov. How many hours did the longest tennis match in the world last? 11 hours and five minutes.

Jitball is a hybrid sport which is a combination from footbal and tennis. It was invented in 1920. It can be played indoors or outdoors. The court is divided by a net. Each team tries to send the ball into the opponents side of the court. Sending the ball must be precise enough to trick the other team and it fails to return the ball. The players are allowed to use any part of the body except the hands.

Here are Yasen’s questions: How many teams can play in one game of jitball? Two. How many players can participate in a team? One, two or three. Where can you play jitball? Indoors or outdoors.

Volleyball is a collective sport ball game in which two teams compete on a special court seperated by a net. Each team consists of six players. To start the game a team is chosen to serve. A player from the serving team throws the ball into the air and attempts to hit the ball so that it passes over the net in the opposing team's court. The opposing team must use a combination of no more than three strokes to return the ball to the opponent's side of the net. The Bulgaria men's national volleyball team is one of the leading volleyball teams in Europe and the world. Its achievements include silver medals and bronze medals from the World Championship.

Here are Joana’s questions: What maximum speed can the ball reach when you serve? 130m/h. How tall is one of the most famous Bulgarian volleyball players Matey Kaziyski? 202 cm. What is the record for the longest volleyball game ever played? 51 minutes.

The martial arts are practised by many people around the world. One famous Japanese martial art is aikido.Like other Japanese martial arts this is a method of self- improvement. The name"aikido" is written in hieroglyphics ai (harmony), ki (energy) and do (road) and it is most commonly translated as "the road of energy and harmony".Aikido was invented by Morihey Ueshiba between the 30s and 60s of the 20th century. Aikido is considered one of the most difficult to master Japanese martial art. Aikido consists of a wide range of techniques with bare hands and weapon. Ueshiba the founder says that fear with bare hands and with weapon is the same.

Here are Jaklin’s questions: What is the most popular technique used in aikido? Taeno hencko. What does aikido mean? Ai (harmony), ki (energy) and do (road) and it is most commonly translated as ‘the road of energy and harmony’. Where is aikido practised? All around the world.

Swimming is a sport which has four different styles. The first one is called crawl. For this style you swim with your arms and legs and you go straight. It is the fastest style. The second style which is less fast is the dolphin style. You swim it again with your legs and arms. Your legs move like a dolphin tail. Your arms move like a paddle of a boat. The arms are the most important for this style because if they get tired you can’t move. The next type is back style. It’s similar to crawl but you swim it on your back. This style is very nice because you can take a rest lying on your back. The last type is breaststroke. You swim like a frog. I swim in Levski Spartak club and I know all of the styles because I practise them every week. I have never gone on competitions but I will one day when I am ready to go.

Here are Vladimir’s questions: Do you know how you can turn to the next run if you swim two runs? With a somersault. When and where was the World Swimming Federation (FINA) found? 1906 in London. How long has swimming been in the Olympic Games? 120 year s.
