3. Camastra is a small city, called “city of the sky”. It founds own economy on ceramics, mosaics and pictures’ production; that are tied to popular tradition or superstition, and they take particulary mithos.

4. Camastra is famous above all for its domestic ceramics as beautiful jugs, jars, flats and vases with colourful decorations like a lot of polichrome with flowers, leafs and shoots, with rhombus and geometrical circles to celebrate life.

Camastra ‘s ceramic is characterized by bright colours as yellow and blue for the sky and the sea, and green for gardens and olive groves; and so Camastra ’s artists represent a lot of beautiful landscapes of Sicily. The most beautiful ceramics are of the XVII century and they are in to Camastra’s Museum.

6. Palace Armao Palace Armao is the most renowned building in Santo Stefano of Camastra, prized for the majolica that decorates both its façade and its interior. In fact in the Palace, who is of the XVII century and is in old town, the floor presents majolica tiles.
