2 Warming up We always need to start by warming up Can you remember last weeks warm ups? Let’s introduce 2 new warm ups! ‘Baby 1,2,3’ and ‘Grandma rap’

3 Diction Detective Do you remember the Posture Detective? Well here is his friend – the Diction Detective!

4 Why is diction important? Good diction is when you speak clearly and make the correct mouth shapes If you don’t have good diction, your audience won’t understand what you are saying! The Diction Detective is now going to watch you!

5 Posture and breathing Who can show me ‘giraffe’ posture? Who can show me how to breathe correctly? Why is this important?

6 Unison singing Unison is when we all sing together at the same pitch We need to watch the conductor and most importantly we need to LISTEN to each other Let’s split into two groups and listen to each other sing ‘Sing a little song’

7 ‘ Sing a little song ’ Sing a little song in the morning light; Sing a little song it’ll be alright. Sing a little song, who do you see? (child’s name) (echo) singing with me.

8 Sing a little song in the afternoon; Sing a little song, it’s hometime soon. Sing a little song, who do you see? (child’s name) (echo) singing with me!

9 Brain Break – Tongue twisters To begin to toboggan first buy a toboggan, but don’t buy too big a toboggan. To big a toboggan is not a toboggan to buy to begin to toboggan.

10 Tongue twisters Fred fed Ted bread and Ted fed Fred bread How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood? A noisy noise annoys an oyster Popocatépetl, copper-plated kettle
