7. PROBLEM BASED LEARNING A framework for learning that engages students in a problem-solving process. They can gather new information and learn new concepts, apply principles to new situations, develop skills, etc. This construct can be used in any subject. English Language Arts (even Science and Social Studies) is a logical place to use this—creating, writing and defending points of view related to fiction, or content based issues. But how can this be used for math??
