2.  You may choose to work on any of the following alone or with up to 2 other people.  Take a German song and create a video that makes the meaning clear  Make a commercial for a German product  Make a skit about German history  Make a visual representation of what German means to you

3.  If you choose to make a video, you may choose any German song that has appropriate lyrics.  You may not copy the real video or another video posted online.  Be creative – you may act out the lyrics or find another way to make the meaning clear.  On May 18, you will present this video to the class and will give a short summary of the song and video process/thinking.

4.  If you choose to make a commercial, you may choose a product that really does exist or you may make up your own product.  You may not Google German commercials and steal their ideas.  Be creative! Have fun with this.  German must be spoken in the commercial. Have dialogue or a description.  You will present the commercial (in video or LIVE!) to the class on May 18.

5.  If you choose to write a skit, you may go any direction you would like, as long as the topic is German history.  The skit may be pre-recorded or may be acted out in class.  Avoid reading – rehearse your lines so that you sound natural.  Your skit will be presented to the class on May 18.

6.  If you choose to make a visual representation of what German means to you, you must find or create images that sum up:  1) why are you in German?  2) what did you used to think German was?  3) how has that changed?  4) what do you love most about German culture?  5) Anything else that you feel is important.  You will present your collage to the class on May 18. You must explain what German means to you and justify your choices AUF DEUTSCH!

7.  Your presentations must be well-rehearsed. If you make a video, you have plenty of time to shoot re-takes. Do not read from a piece of paper, and try to sound as natural as possible.  German must be spoken! If not in your actual project, then during class on May 18! Each person is expected to speak at least 5 sentences in German.  Make your words comprehensible. That is: enunciate AND use props or actions to make meanings clear.
