9 Decision of the Senate to establish the University Centre for the Development of Education Agreement on teaching, scientific and technical cooperation in education development (signed by the University and seven faculties) “The goal of this Agreement is to concentrate human and material resources in order to advance collegial and non-profit cooperation among the Agreement participants in the area of education development.” March 18, 2010: April 22, 2010:

13 School Practice

14 Yesterday: Graduates stressed out lack of school practice – especially in elementary schools – as the greatest disadvantage of the study programme. The number of school practice hours was very small (usually, between 2 and 6).

15 Today: At the University, there are 56 subjects which include school practice. There are over 500 students for which school practice has to be organized Organization of school practice often depends on friendly contacts, i.e., it is up to subject professor to find appropriate school There is a proposal that the Centre takes responsibility for the organization of school practice

16 Up to date, the Centre has realized following activities:

17 Gathered detailed data on requirements for school practice at all faculties.

18 Created school practice book, with contents of 56 subjects.

19 Launched initiative for the forming of University internship centers (50 elementary, and 20 secondary schools)

20 Prepared the ‘Agreement on cooperation between participants in realization of student school practice” (signing of the Agreement is due September, 2011) Article 1: This Agreement defines rights, obligations, and relationships between signees, and their concerted effort in realization of school practice for students in the school.

21 Suggestions

22 Introduction of integrated studies (300 ECTS) for subject teachers, instead of 4+1 or 3+2 systems.

23 Forming of a 36 ECTS module which would be available to all students who wish to acquire PPM competence (this is a road to Integrated University).
