1 Subcommittee 21 - Materials Act as a resource on materials issues affecting multiple subcommittees under the Committee on Standardization of Oilfield Equipment and Materials (CSOEM) and provide assistance to the CSOEM Subcommittees. These following activities shall be under the Subcommittee’s remit: Coordinate, review, endorse and prioritize materials related standards work developed by the CSOEM Subcommittees Provide resources as needed for materials related standards actions in each CSOEM Subcommittee Identify, recommend and resource materials related special projects Identify and assess topics and trends on industry materials related needs Publish technical reports related to materials issues of interest to the upstream standards community Report to the CSOEM on materials related upstream standards activities equipment and materials. 1220 L Street, NW Washington, DC 20005-4070 www.api.org

2 Subcommittee 21 - Materials Meetings held at API Conferences using format of reports on Active Projects, Informative Reports and New Projects Presentations Reports on Active Materials Projects – These are the previously approved materials projects with approved SR3s. Informative Reports – Updates/information on materials topics that are of interest to the Committee. These reports are for general information and do not require specific action. New Projects Presentations – These presentations can form the first step in a New Work Item for the Materials SC. These presentations are to dedicate personnel and funding if necessary, and require an SR3 to move forward in the approval process. 4 Subcommittee 21 – January 20,2016 Meeting New Projects Presentations – Allen Gress to lead NDT Project - Develop a Recommended Practice that will provide guidance for NDT for API CSOEM products and equipment. This guidance will establish standard practices, personnel requirements and acceptance criteria for evaluation of surface and internal indications that may reveal defects or other anomalies.
