4 Parent Assisted Immersive Reading (P.A.I.R) http://pisceanpublishing.com/what-is-pair-learning/ Parent Assisted Immersive Reading provides parents with the scaffolding, where, over time, they can develop new skills that can be used to improve their child’s reading. P.A.I.R. has been created around the latest local and international research. It is built on the core premise that parents who regularly read aloud to their young child can dramatically improve the child’s literacy skills.

5 1 st P.A.I.R reading: discuss the front cover, read pink introduction then read story to child, then finish with the pink summary at the back of the book.

6 2 nd P.A.I.R reading: child re-tells story in their own words and you re-read it. Choose one prompt from each corner.
