Theme: The Army decides to continue the APFU evaluations based on Soldiers preferred design
Key Messages:
  The Army continues to improve and refine Soldier equipment and uniforms
The Army is using the Soldiers’ top choice for the Army Physical Fitness Uniform design
As a result of Soldier feedback, the Army Physical Fitness Uniform includes 38 improvements, ranging from better sizing (to include female sizing) to a change to moisture-wicking material.
The Army is currently conducting extensive technical testing as well as user assessments to obtain Soldier feedback and validate the form, fit and function of the APFU
Fiscally Responsible Implementation Plan
The Army plans to phase in the Army Physical Fitness Uniform over several years, starting in 1QFY15
Soldiers may start wearing the Army Physical Fitness Uniform in FY15, but are not required to have it until 1QFY18
The APFU will actually cost Soldiers less per set 3
