6 IRWG Goal The Information Representation Working Group has been established to guide interoperability analysis and develop a tactical approach for harmonizing ICR informatics systems that support and manage molecular information and analysis. This may entail working in a matrixed group, with members from other ICR Task Groups, other domains or cross-cutting workspaces.

7 IRWG Objectives Work plan including how to work with VCDE and appropriate teams with which to iterate work products. Report on review of ICR tools (usage, maturity) and select those to further evaluate when creating a domain model Analysis of VCDE “backbone” model and CDE usage reports for utility in creating an ICR DAM Create a draft domain model with definition of CDEs for the ICR domain White paper on harmonization strategy Resolve issues of data representation and description including binary mark-up and endpoint reference metadata and sequencing. Identify caBIG vocabulary and/or CDE standard candidates within ICR WS and bring them to VCDE WS's attention Recommend new service-level metadata items (published workflows, input boundaries, backend computational support). Engage in Dynamic extensions uses and development

8 IRWG Charter Suggestions Related to ICR DAM / draft domain model development: Review ICR tools (usage, maturity) and select those to further evaluate when creating a domain model Analyze the VCDE “backbone” model and CDE usage reports for utility In creating an ICR DAM Create a draft domain model with definition of CDEs for the ICR domain Identify caBIG vocabulary and/or CDE standard candidates within ICR WS and bring them to VCDE WS's attention White paper on harmonization strategy Work plan including how to work with VCDE and appropriate teams with which to iterate work products

9 IRWG Charter Suggestions Others: Resolve issues of data representation and description including Binary mark-up Endpoint reference metadata Recommend new service-level metadata items such as Published workflows Input boundaries Backend computational support Engage in Dynamic extensions uses and development Work plan including how to work with VCDE and appropriate teams with which to iterate work products.
