20 ASSIST North West Branch Agenda for Change update Chester May 2006 www.assist.org.uk Recommendations (1) Develop comprehensive workforce planning to address: –Recruitment and retention challenges –Expected future staff shortages –Morale –Status –Adoption of consistent standards

21 ASSIST North West Branch Agenda for Change update Chester May 2006 www.assist.org.uk Recommendations (2) Encourage collaborative working between professional and statutory bodies Accelerate the establishment of the profession Promote and market the benefits to informatics staff and also to the NHS Maintain pressure on review and use of KSF and NOS in implementation of AfC
