2 Mission Statement: Cruise For Troops pays tribute to our fallen soldiers while raising money to help fund the education of the children who are left behind. Whether it is a hero’s death in combat or a veteran suicide, the aftermath the children and families must endure lasts a lifetime. Our goal is to honor the sacrifices made, help restore a sense of normalcy to the families left behind, and ease a financial burden while providing a solid educational foundation for their child’s future.

3 Cruise For Troops Then and Now: Our inaugural Cruise For Troops event took place in 2009; under the original name of “Poker Run For Patriots”. Approximately 35 cars took part in the cruise and covered nearly 100 miles of back roads spanning over the better part of a morning and afternoon. Fast forward to 2015, our seventh year hosting the event with over 700 classic cars, specialty vehicles and motorcycles taking part in the Cruise For Troops! The crowd of thousands of people helped raise over $18,000 for the Tribute To The Troops ® Fallen Heroes Children’s Education Fund! There are a lot of car shows and a lot of motorcycle rides, many supporting very good causes. What makes Cruise For Troops so special? Cruise For Troops is the largest classic car and motorcycle cruise in the five state area! Rather than simply parking in a lot, we get the rubber on the asphalt while having fun and paying tribute to the brave men and women who have given us this freedom! Though we have a lot of fun, we never forget that this day is about paying tribute to our fallen heroes. Cruise For Troops has become a must attend event amongst the classic car, motorcycle, and military crowds. With continued support from great patriotic community partners, we plan on continuing to grow and raise more money to help the children and families left behind.

4 Where Does the Money Go? Tribute To The Troops ® – Minnesota Chapter Fallen Hero’s Children’s Education Fund receives 100% of the proceeds from the Cruise For Troops event. To assist these children and their families, Tribute To The Troops opens and funds a 529 education account in the child’s name in honor of their fallen hero. 100% of contributions made to the Fund are deposited into 529 accounts or paid directly to the child, if they are already enrolled in a post-secondary program. Tribute To The Troops is an all volunteer organization, made up of grateful Americans dedicated to preserving the memory of the men and women of our nation’s military who lost their lives while bravely protecting our freedom. It is in their memory that we honor and convey our heartfelt gratitude to family and friends left behind and extend our sincere appreciation to all veterans who have served, whether in war or in peace.
