1 Is Jesus Worth Repenting of My Sins? 2 Corinthians 7:9-10

3 1. What if I decide He IS worth it? With repentance... -I can be forgiven my sin (2 Chronicles 7:14) -I can be forgiven by others (Luke 17:3) -I go from darkness to light (Acts 26:18) -I become God’s servant (Romans 6:7, 18, 22) -God can bring my life healing (Mark 2:17) -God can save me (2 Corinthians 7:10) -There is more joy in heaven (Luke 15:7, 10)

4 2. What if I decide He’s NOT worth it? Without repentance... -I Remain in my sin (Acts 3:19) -I Remain a slave to sin (John 8:34) -I am outside of Christ (Colossians 1:21) -I am unfit to lead others (Luke 6:39) -I oppose God (2 Timothy 2:24-26) -I can go no further with Christ (Revelation 2:5) -I perish in spiritual death (Luke 13:3, 5)

What is repentance? -Where repentance originates (Romans 2:4; 2 Timothy 2:25; 2 Corinthians 7:9-10) -The process of repentance (Jeremiah 31:19; James 4:7-8; Zechariah 1:3; Malachi 3:7) -There is no alternative to genuine repentance (Hebrews 6:4-6; Matthew 27:3; Romans 6:17) -It’s the hardest step towards salvation -It’s the most difficult part of restoration

How do I repent? -Repentance does Godly things (Matthew 3:8; Luke 3:8; Acts 26:20; 2 Corinthians 7:11) -Repentance ceases wicked things (Romans 6:6; Ephesians 4:17-24; Colossians 3:9) -Penitent minds allow God’s word to shape their thoughts, speech & decisions (Romans 12:2; Hebrews 5:14; Galatians 2:20; Acts 7:51) -Urgently! God is patient, but time can run out (2 Peter 3:9; Revelation 2:21; Hebrews 12:17)

Why is Jesus worth repenting? -He loves me more than I could ever love myself -He wants the best for me even when I don’t -His way is Truth—why keep living a lie, in error? -A decision for Jesus is the only decision for life -What wouldn’t I do for the One who paid for my ransom with His own life? (John 3:16; Mark 10:45; 1 John 4:19; 1 Peter 5:6-7; John 14:1-6; Philippians 3:20-21; Isaiah 53:5, 12)

8 Become A Christian! Hear the gospel (Rom. 10:17) Believe Jesus is the Christ (John 8:24) Repent of sins (Acts 2:38) Confess Christ (Matt. 10:32-33) Be baptized, washing your sins away (Acts 22:16) Live a committed life (Rev. 2:10) Be Restored Back To God! Confess sin (1 John 1:9-10) Repent and pray (Acts 8:22) Renew your commitment (Rev. 2:4-5) YES, Jesus IS Worth Repenting!
