11 Target Setting Methods Here are some common methods for setting targets. Smart is very good for setting linear targets, GROW offers a more flexible ongoing method. S.M.A.R.T – E.R. G.R.O.W. C.I.G.A.R.

12 G.R.O.W G = Goal, what is it you are wanting to achieve R = Reality, where are you now O = Objectives, what are the steps you will take W = Wrap up, how are you going to do it and by when This is also a great coaching and feedback tool

13 Delegation Delegation is the art of good management. You may not be able to do it all alone, effective delegation removes pressure from you and brings new skills and ideas into the mix. Delegation is not task dumping Match skills and empower delegated party Clearly communicate goals, measures and metrics Follow up regularly The ultimate accountability is yours Delegating requires… Trust Confidence and discipline to let go

14 Time Management Time management and prioritisation is about accuracy of choices. Think of time as an investment Take time to plan time Schedule time for interruptions Put up a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign 20% of your thoughts, conversations and activities produce 80% of your results Record your thoughts and give them time You are allowed to say no Eliminate distractions
