2. The writer wants us, the readers, not just to read the poem but hold it to the light like a color slide, and experience the poem using the sense of sight. The writer thinks that the readers should look at the poem as they look at a picture.

3. The writer asks the readers to listen carefully to what is happening inside the poem as if they are listening to the fuss inside a hive while the bees are busy making honey.

4. The writer wants the readers to become a scientist for a minute and do an experiment. Drop a mouse inside the poem,and watch how he probes his way out as if the poem is a maze.

5. The writer wants the readers to imagine a situation when they enter an unknown dark room. He wants the readers to search for the light switch by feeling the walls and objects. The action of turning the light on is like understanding the point of the poem and revealing all the details.

6. The readers should play with a poem, waterski on it while they are waving at the author's name on the shore. However, the poet should not impose or dictate his ideas to the reader.

7. Contrary to the writer’s opinion, the readers just want to find the message of the poem in the quickest way possible. They want to torture the poem, tie it to a chair but not to enjoy it. We have to get inside the poem to experience, rather than just figuring out its meaning.

8. The readers continue to abuse the poem by beating it in order to find out what it means.
