3 Quality of provision improved  Ofsted said:-  “A well organised, multi-lingual team of additional learning support workers, financial and welfare advisers and counsellors provide a comprehensive support package to learners at all centres.”

4 Quality of provision improved  Learning Support Strategy developed  Diversified learning support team – increased number of male, young and community language speaking staff  Staff now have teaching qualifications– all have PTLLS or PGCE

6 Quality of provision improved  Specialist training increased  Compulsory college wide CPD and training  Whole team observation - in class support, 1:1s and workshops  Whole team appraisals

7 Self Assessment  Co-ordinator increased the knowledge of cross college aims and objectives among support staff  Cross college RASA data analysed  Positive approach to data (learning support RAS data) – Action taken  Quality Improvement Priorities set  Self assessment takes place termly

8 Student Voice - Consultation  Office open to students & staff for information, sign posting and support  Termly student forums  Termly provision of ALS surveys  Suggestion box outside office  Student reps can approach LS team with queries and concerns

9 Raising our profile:- Fully accessible LS centre located close to Student Services

10 Raising our profile:-  High visibility during peak enrolment periods and at start of each term  Termly information stand in the college Café  Improved termly class inductions and compulsory Dyslexia screenings in all vocation & foundation courses  Increased number of workshops for students of all levels

11 Raising our profile:-  Learning support staff attend termly Curriculum meetings –  Led Equality & Diversity training for ALL college staff  Greater links with external organisations

12 Lead in Equality & Diversity Cross college & events  Active participation is ESI steering group (Equality & Student Involvement  Disability & Health Awareness Day – External health organisations  NHS Health Checks  Mental Health Awareness  Dyslexia Awareness Week  Diversity Day in Adult Learner’s Week- supported students encouraged to take part  International Women’s Day – All students encouraged and supported  Sustainability Awareness events
