One recipient of Dr. Irit Felsen’s support is the Paralyzed Veterans of America, which helps veterans who have lost the use of limbs and other body parts in service to the United States to live healthy and fulfilling lives.

The Paralyzed Veterans of America's Vehicle Donation Program  The Paralyzed Veterans of America operates the Wheels Helping Warriors Vehicle Donation Program, through which individuals can donate vehicles. The Paralyzed Veterans of America accepts a range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, recreational vehicles, and farm equipment, as well as planes and boats, regardless of the current condition of the vehicle. Upon the vehicle’s sale, the funds of which are donated back to the organization, the former owner is provided with a receipt, which can then be used to receive a tax deduction. Most vehicles are collected between 24 and 48 hours of the initial call.
