2  My mother saved all the newspapers regarding the death of Diana because she thought we would appreciate the history of it.  I was three and remember waking up to the news on holiday in Newcastle.

4  The newspaper details the written aspect of the funeral.  There are many photographs of the day of the funeral.  Human interest: people have sent in their own messages of condolence

5  The text shows a nation in mourning “Mourning unites a divided City” talking about London.  The photographs show the amount of people effected by the death.  Elton John included in the funeral service as personal friend “Elton’s song brings tears”.

6  Brother of Diana - Earl Spencer vows to protect children. Is this a reference to what happened to Diana? “Brother vows to protect children”.  Letters sent in did not agree with the hype surrounding the death. One person wrote in “have we all taken leave of our senses?”

7  An historian would want to delve deeper than just a memorial piece if they wanted to find out more about the Princesses death.  The paper tells little about what is happening in the rest of the world.  Mother Teresa’s death only takes up half a page.
