Searchresults in group Facets is a way to group the searchresult 1.Navigation on the left side of the searchpage (drill down in the resultlist) 2. Grouping of hits in the resultlist (matter and related document) Gives insight in the proceedings of the matters.

Faceted navigation Four facets in two levels

Matter and documents shown together in the searchresult. Hits in chapters.

Facets based on metadata Metadata is put on both manually and automatically in different stages of the prosess (a)From the templates used for document production (word or CMS) (b) From our database (epos) (c) From topic maps on the web-site (limited in use so far)

Dataquality Rubbish in - rubbish out The search shows the user the quality of the data (or lack off) in the gui The search is retriving metadata from several different sources (in case of missing data) Improvement of dataquality is an ongoing prosess

The use of facets Time 45% Topics 13% Type of matter 5% Publication 2% 93 428 searches so far this year 29.4% of these used drill down with the facets

Classified searchterms No class 51% Topics 13% Publications 18% MPs 16% Editorial 6%

Searchterms vs facets Facets – 2% on publications Searchterms – 18% on publications Do they use the facet ”time” because it is on top of the page or is it the most useful facet? Needs to be more explored
