5. However, more and more heat is being kept in the atmosphere because of man-made grennhouses gases, particularly carbon dioxide.

8. Man-made greenhouses gases is produced by burning oil, gas and coal.

9. This global warming is already causing changes in the weather all over the world.

12. How has climate change changed the world's weather?

13. Since the 1970's, average global temperatures have risen by about 0.6'C.

14. And many scientists believe that more extreme weather conditions have been caused by climate changes in recent years.

15. New Orleans was hit by a huge hurricane in 2005.

16. Many people were killed and thousands were made homeless.

17. İn the summer of 2003, 15.000 people in France died as a result of heat wave.

18. How will climate change affect the world in the future?

19. Experts believe that more and more places will be affected by climate change in the future.

20. As the ice caps at the North and South Poles melt and sea levels rise further, many towns and villages near the coast will be flooded.

21. This is frightening thought because more than half the world's population live near the coast!

22. What can we do to stop global warming?

23. A lot has been written about what governments and businesses should do to slow down global warming.

24. However, there's also a lot we can do to save energy at home.

26. For example, always turn off TVs, DVD players and computers.Machines use as much electricity on stand- by as when they're being used.

27. Change your light bulbs. Use your car much less. REUSE-REDUCE- RECYCLE
