1 Mechanics: Capitalization Capitalize the names of planets, stars, constellations, and other heavenly bodies. Example: Mars, North Star, Big Dipper, Milky Way DO NOT capitalize the word earth unless it is used along with the names of other heavenly bodies. Example: How far is Saturn from Earth?
