18 Lets tie it together Why is one mole 6.022 x 10 23 ? So if we have 6.022x 10 23 atoms of Li it would have a mass of 6.941 grams. And if you have 6.022 x 10 23 atoms of F it would have a mass of 18.998 grams. Because magically if you have this exact number of atoms their total mass will equal the relative atomic mass in grams.
