CATEGORY 3 REMOTE I/O PANELS BP SHAH DENIZ SD2 M.A937 PROJECT

MANUFACTURER COMPETENCIES As a competent manufacturer of quality Ex enclosures, control systems and provider of industry professional services, we work to a BSI accredited quality management system.

MANUFACTURER COMPETENCIES In addition to our QA certificate, it is a legal requirement for companies manufacturing ATEX equipment to be audited and be awarded a Quality Assurance Notification, QAN. On this document it details the forms of protection that can be used by a manufacturer to protect equipment in a hazardous area. In line with this approval JCE Group have the systems in place and have been and approved to manufacture systems using Ex n for equipment to be used in a Zone 2 area.

JCE WORKING WITH BP JCE has had a long and successful history with BP over the years, as far back as the 1970’s when the offshore industry began in the North Sea. In addition to the North Sea, JCE has worked with BP directly or though local system integrators, in the US, Azerbaijan, Trinidad and other global locations. This continues today with an active ongoing business model in survey and replacement works on the BP Magnus Calorifier Systems, amongst others. The following provides an sample of historic and current projects.

JCE MANUFACTURE OF ZONE 2 SYSTEMS The requirements for using Zone 2, Ex n concept, has increased in recent years considerably, due to its flexibility in making the more complicated or larger systems suitable for use in a hazardous area. This solution can be more cost effective and a less arduous option in both capex and during installation / maintenance.

JCE WORKING WITH BP During JCE’s extensive hsitory working with BP, the following are samples of projects that have been completed including Ex d Battery Isolation Systems, Ex Engineering Services to manufacturing large scale, Zone 2 Tank Repair Systems for the Schiehallion WARP and Water Tank projects. These projects were in excessive of US$600,000 in value and were delivered on schedule and under budget.

JCE WORKING WITH BP These projects were both for Zone 1& 2 areas and included not only Isolation / Distribution, etc. but interlocked in a complex integration system with additional Tank Ventilation skids and Fire and Gas Detections skids, etc.

JCE WORKING WITH SIEMENS JCE has worked with Siemens in various global locations producing both Zone 1 and Zone 2 certified equipment. These works have included the manufacture and supply of Ex nA d 30kVA 3PH 480/400V,Transformers on the ATP Cheviot project for Siemens Norway

JCE MANUFACTURE OF ZONE 2 SYSTEMS JCE has embraced this protection concept on varying types of equipment including large Distribution Systems, Battery Isolators, Battery Packages, Solar Systems, to name a few. JCE supply the products with a Declaration of Conformity or full Notified Body approval, depending on the customers requirements.

JCE MANUFACTURE OF ZONE 2 REMOTE I/O SYSTEMS In some locations size can be at a premium, and in these instances, bespoke enclosures, designs and concepts have been used to find the correct solution to the challenges. Using experience, good engineering and an understanding of the standards, a fully compliant system can be manufactured and supplied to the client.

JCE MANUFACTURE OF ZONE 2 REMOTE I/O SYSTEMS These larger systems can use a multiple of protection categories and need not rely on the components being Exn compliant. If required, encapsulation and restrictive breathing can also be used to attain compliance of components.

JCE Group USA JCE Group JCE Europe JCE Energy JCE Asia Pacific The group have many agents and representatives throughout the world
