5. Open up your books!Open up your books!  Read the adventure of The Cyclops. Pg. 899-909 While reading, complete your double entry journal.

Double Entry JournalDouble Entry Journal  Remember your focus – the questions at the top of your handout:  | Is Odysseus a hero or a zero? | Who faces greater challenges: Penelope, Telemachus, or Odysseus? || Who is the character with the most redeeming qualities?  Record passages that support your perspective and opinion towards the characters.

He misses home and longs for his family.  2. “I drove them, all three wailing, to the ships, tied them down under their rowing benches…” (pg. 898).  2. Odysseus has many of his own challenges to face and he has to take care of his fellow soldiers.
