3 EPHESIANS 4:29-32, The Message Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth. Say only what helps, each word a gift. Don't grieve God. Don't break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for himself. Don't take such a gift for granted. Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk. Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.

7 Matt 7:1-6 Judging Others (NIV) 1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. 6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

If they listen to you, you have won them over.” Galations 6:1 (The Message) “..If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. 13 In conclusion Let’s remember that Jesus does not just sit in the passenger seat of our life, but the Holy Spirit of God lives in us, so… 1.When someone breaks our own interpretation of the “ road rules of life “ or when they “ come into our lane and cuts us off ”: a.Eph 4:32 Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you. b.There is a right and a wrong time and place to correct others when this happens. This requires gentleness and wisdom. When you correct someone it is recommended to either, i.have a strong relationship with that person, ii.it needs to be a serious or urgent matter, iii.you are in a position of authority (team leader, pastor, supervisor).

14 2. When we are judged and corrected ( when we get the horn ), how do we respond? a.PAIR = Pause, Acknowledge, Investigate and then Respond b.Don’t road rage. c.Don’t leave the church, the company you work for or the friendship. d.Decide if it is fair. i.If it is fair, take their advice, i.Prov 10:17 Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. ii.If it is unfair, i.Eph 4:32 Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.
