5 New Measures for Skills for All  Take effect from 10 February 2014  Announced 13 December 2013 and 8 January 2014 through Training Provider Notices  Measures may impact on: − subsidy levels for courses, except Certificate 1, II and Priority courses. These remain fully subsidised. −who can enrol in some courses - Enrolment conditions on these mean enrolment restricted to particular groups of students - Training Guarantee for SACE Students, School-Based Training Contracts, Training Contracts only

6 New Funded Training List 8.0  From 10 February 2014 −adds 1 new course, 44 replacement courses −removes No New Enrolments date (Skills for All) for 18 courses, and applies one or more Enrolment Conditions for these courses −applies NNE date (Skills for All) to 3 courses −some other changes - Priority courses, TGSS approved, some courses removed, and display of national Skill Set codes

18 Training Contract Enrolment Only Under this condition, an Eligible Student:  is not enrolled at school (may be under 16 years old)  has an approved Training Contract  is seeking to enrol in a Course that is nominated in the Training Contract Ref: Guideline under the Skills for All Contract for Entitlement to Funding Training (Release 1.0 – 8 January 2014)

19 Training Contracts  Utilise VETA to view new Training Contracts for your organisation  Check enrolment eligibility (including active Skills for All Training Accounts)  Training Provider must only create a Training Account once the Training Contract is approved by Traineeship and Apprenticeship Services (negotiate and lodge your Training Plan into VETA as soon as possible – this may include signature requirement by parent or guardian if under 18).  Utilise VETA to view the status of Training Contracts for your organisation (data updated nightly)  Training Provider must enter the Training Contract Number against the Training Account in the appropriate format  Training Account Course Enrolment must match course on Training Contract and reported AVETMISS data

20 School Based Training Contracts Under this condition, an Eligible Student:  is enrolled in school (may be under 16 years old)  has an approved Training Contract  is seeking to enrol in a Course that is part of the School Based Training Contract

21 School Based Training Contracts  Utilise VETA to view new Training Contracts for your organisation  Training Provider must only create a Training Account once the Training Contract is approved by Traineeship and Apprenticeship Services (negotiate and lodge your Training Plan into VETA as soon as possible – this will include approval by the School’s Principal and Parent or Guardian.  Utilise VETA to view the status of Training Contracts for your organisation (data updated nightly)  Training Provider must enter the Training Contract Number against the Training Account in the appropriate format  Training Account Course Enrolment must match course on Training Contract and reported AVETMISS data

22 TGSS (Training Guarantee for SACE Students) Under this condition, an Eligible Student:  is enrolled in school undertaking substantive VET within the SACE as part of the TGSS  is 16 years or older  is seeking to enrol in a Course that is TGSS approved

23 TGSS (Training Guarantee for SACE Students)  Training Provider must have a nominated (and accepted by the Ministers’ Representative) School Student Officer on their Skills for All contract, to be eligible to deliver training to TGSS  Refer to ‘Instructions for managing Training Guarantee for SACE Students’, published version date 8 January 2014  Training Provider must play a role in the Students preparation of the Education and Training Plan (ETP), including establishing a pathway post school Note: ETP includes Form A / Form B and Form C  Training Provider is responsible for completing Form B and uses the information provided in From A by the school to assist the process.  Training Provider must only create a Training Account once Form A and B have been approved and signed by all parties (school principal, parent and student)

24 Skills for All Claims  Two claim periods per month.  Data close off 5:00pm 1 st and 3 rd Wednesday or each Month.  You must have a Training Account established for a Qualification.  Completed Units are reported through your AVETMISS data submission
