2. 2 PREFACE 50 years have passed after Korea and Thailand signed to be in an official diplomatic relationship. During the past 50 years, there had been many changes in Korean society in Thailand as well. The Korean Association in Thailand with 30,000 Koreans in Thailand also has been developing. Each and every Korean in Thailand lives with the price and identity as Korean. The image of Korea and Korean to the eyes of the Thai people is also improving with the popularity of Korean wave. Number of tourist to Korea from Thailand is also increasing every year. With these happenings, The Korean Association in Thailand and KTCC would like to organize Korea Festival 2008 to let the world know better about the beauty of the Korean culture ranging from fine arts, music, dance, food, and stars, promoting better relationship of Korea an Thailand than ever before!
