13 SCCOE Professional Development Offerings NGSS Blended Learning Pathways Objectives: Provide a blended learning platform for participants to learn: – Science Concepts and Principles (Disciplinary Core Ideas – DCI) – The Skills of Doing Science (Science & Engineering Practices – SEP) – The Overarching Ideas (Crosscutting Concepts – CCC) Provide science experiences/activities that can be used with students to grapple with the science concepts through the practices which leads to the understanding of the overarching ideas. Support collaboration among educators to build capacity and reduce educator misconceptions of the science core knowledge
