Efficient Multiplexing Method for Voice Streams over Internet Researcher: Mosleh Abu-Alhaj Supervisors: Assoc. Prof. Dr Sureswaran Ramadass Dr Omar Amer

Field of Study What is VoIP? Bandwidth Efficiency VoIP-QoS Compression. Multiplexing. Silence Suppression. VOIP : The technology that use the Internet and Internet protocol (“IP”) to deliver voice communications. There are many methods used to improve bandwidth utilization such as:

Expected Outcomes Objectives: –To propose efficient audio streams multiplexing method in order to save network bandwidth, with consider the QoS of network. –To implement the proposed method on MCS architecture in order to demonstrate the multiplexing method feasibility. –To analysis and assessing the proposed multiplexing method, using QoS measurement, after implement it on MCS architecture and show the performance of the proposed method.

Research Objectives Expected Outcomes: –Minimize number of headers that added to voice packet in order to decrease packet size which will reduce the consumed bandwidth and reduce overhead. –Minimize number of packets sent through the network which improve network QoS through reduce traffic over network. –Increase number of voice streams in each channel with considers the QoS.

Short-Term Plan (3Monthes) Writing Presentation Publication - Previous Works. - Proposed Methodology. - Framework. - Panels: (Assoc. Prof. Dr Sureswaran & Dr.Omar Amer). - International Journal. - International Conference.
