30. I understand that you wish to help your child but we urge you not to buy the Singapore Maths books. The teachers will teach the set curriculum in the manner and pace they think is best for the class. We want your child to learn whilst they are at school, to learn new methods and apply these to problems given to them by the teacher. If you have already done the same problems with them then no new learning is taking place. They may also come unstuck when tackling a new problem independently. You now have your methods and can see examples of how your child is being taught.
