4 4 Title I, Part A Improving Basic Programs  Goals/Purpose:  To provide opportunities for children served to acquire the skills to meet State academic standards.  All services must be scientifically- based and meet compliance standards.

8 8 Parents Right To Know  Each year, the school district must notify parents of students attending Title I schools (all campuses in SAISD) at least the minimum information:  Whether all teachers meet the highly qualified status,  Whether any teacher is teaching under an emergency certificate,

9 9 Parents Right To Know Continued  The type of degrees the teachers hold and,  Whether or not paraprofessionals meet the highly qualified status.

10 10 Title I, Part C Migrant Education Program  Identification and Recruiting (ID & R)  Support services (supplies, clothing, summer program, tutoring)  Home education services (tutoring, Building Bridges, social service referrals)  Summer School Programs (MAS)  Reading is Fundamental (RIF)

11 11 Title I, Part C Migrant Education Program  New Generations System and Student Record Transfers  Parent Advisory Council   Parent Involvement Program   SEEDS Migrant Club (MS-HS)

13 13 Title II, Part A Teacher and Principal Training and Recruiting Fund  Goal is to improve teacher and principal quality and to ensure that all teachers are highly qualified.

14 14 Title III, Part A English Language Acquisition for Limited English Proficient Students  ESL teachers at the secondary level.  Bilingual teachers at the elementary level.  Teacher Specialists are hired to assist campus staff.
