Trinity Sunday

Alleluia, Alleluia, Christ is with us, He is with us indeed Alleluia And so we gather. In the name of the Father…

You keep us with you and give us life. Lord, have mercy. You guide us with your light to show us the way. Christ, have mercy. You sent your spirit to be with us always Lord, have mercy.

Opening Prayer Father God You sent your Son and the Holy Spirit to be with us in your name. To share the word of your faith. Amen

Alleluia, Alleluia

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. John Glory to you, Lord The Gospel of the Lord the Lord Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

Alleluia, Alleluia

I wonder what you heard in the Gospel today. It can be difficult to understand what the Holy Trinity represents. To understand that God is 3 and yet still 1. Class 2 would like to try and show you what the Holy Trinity means to us.

The Holy Trinity by Class 2

As brothers and sisters in one loving family let us pray together to our heavenly Father. For God’s people throughout the world, that we may be living examples of his love. Lord in your mercy For the homeless the hungry and all in need, that we may generously share whatever we have. Lord in your mercy For the sick and those who care for them, that they may know God’s strength and comfort. Lord in your mercy

For all who have died that they may find eternal peace and happiness. Lord in your mercy. Knowing that our heavenly Father is listening, in the silence of our hearts let us share our unspoken prayers with him.

While the music plays, may we invite teachers to choose someone from their class to collect a gesture that year 2 have made to reflect the Holy Trinity

Loving Father Hear the prayers of your children and strengthen our faith and love for you and one another, with the help of the Holy Spirit. We ask this through Christ your Son. Amen

I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry. All who dwell in dark and sin My hand will save. I, who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright, Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send? Chorus: Here I am, Lord – is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.

I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people’s pain. I have wept for love of them, They turn away. I will break their hearts of stone, Give them hearts for love alone. I will speak my word to them. Whom shall I send? Chorus: Here I am, Lord – is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart

I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame. I will set a feast for them, My hand will save. Finest bread I will provide, Till their hearts be satisfied. I will give my life to them. Whom shall I send? Chorus: Here I am, Lord – is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart
