2  Government programs and development plans give great importance to education, since it is considered the most important element of development.  The basic structure of the national education system is outlined by basic law.  The education system is divided into two main sections as formal and non-formal education. 14 F.A.Q Frequently Asked Questions Is there any kind of exams for someone who wants to follow Technical-Vocational Education? The students who will study in Anatolian Technical or Anatolian vocational High school departments, are selected through a general exam in secondary school.The students who will study in Industrial vocational high school department,are selected their secondary school diploma grade.The students who will study in technical high school,are selected according to their average marks in Turkish grammar,mathematics,Physics and chemistry lessons that are common at 9th grade. Is the central government or the local authorities the responsible for the curriculum and the specialties of the Technical-Vocational Education?  The central government,our ministry of education,is responsible for the curriculum and specialties of the technical-vocational education.

The ministry of education in Turkey finances all public schools and parent- teacher association also helps the school budget Has the school any change to implement teaching methods different from the typical ones? (How flexible is the curriculum) Yes,schools can have the chance to change their implement teaching methods.According to the new system called modular system,gives the vocational schools the chance to adapt their moduls to the needs of their region or enterprises they are working with.It is flexible in these terms Do the laboratory courses take part in school labs or elsewhere (eg laboratories of an industry) ?  Primarily,Workshops and laboratory classes take part in the school.but our 12th grade students should study their skill classes that have to be taken 3 days a week,in the enterprises.If it isn't possible to find any enterprises for a student,the skill education will be given in the school.

The enterprises can donate equipment,material or money voluntarily Is there some type of practical exercise for students of Technical-Vocational Education? In the schools'workshops and laboratories,practical education is given.Some of the vocational schools have circulating capital enterprises that let them yield their products.Each department have to implement practical education for instance in a motor department, one has to do servicing or repairing,or in a computer and information department,one has to do programming.This practical exercises are provided not only in the vocational schools but also in the enterprises

23 The problems of Tertiary Education Institutions are given below:   Reorganization.   Modernization.   Accreditation and Quality Assurance System.   Curriculum, Human Resources, Equipment Development.   Strengthening the co-operations with Business world.   Internationalization.   The reasonable way to solve problem is producing projects. However the internal sources are insufficient for project development. For this reason the external financial support such as World Bank, EU, etc. should be searched. CONCLUSION EDUCATION IN TURKIYE

With these co- operations it should be focused on;   Managers, Instructor and Student Exchange,   Mixed Expert Group Studies,   Increasing the Status,   Subject Specific Seminars,   Joint project development and international conferences.
