7. The Big Twelve Artemis Artemis is better known as Diana in Roman culture. Artemis is the twin sister of Apollo. Artemis is a daughter of Zeus. Artemis is known as the goddess of the hunt, as well as the goddess of female virginity.

8. The Big Twelve Athena Athena is the daughter of Zeus. Athena is the goddess of Wisdom. Athena is Odysseus’ favorite goddess. Athena is usually dressed in armor.

9. The Big Twelve Aphrodite Aphrodite is the goddess of love. Aphrodite is the daughter of Cronus; she was born out of the sea. Aphrodite is considered to be one of the most, if not the most, beautiful of the gods and goddesses.

10. The Big Twelve Hephaestus Hephaestus is known as the god of craft and forge. Hephaestus is the husband of Aphrodite. Hephaestus is the son of both Zeus and Hera.

11. The Big Twelve Ares Ares is the god of War. Ares is son of Zeus and Hera. Ares is the main god who blessed Achilles.

12. The Big Twelve Hermes Hermes is the son of Zeus. Hermes is known as messenger of the gods. Hermes is known for being very intelligent and tricky.

13. The Big Twelve Dionysus Dionysus is the god of wine. Dionysus is a son of Zeus. Dionysus also represents rebirth.
