4 ROME is known as the Eternal City, full of ancient monuments alongside new galleries. It's one of the most beautiful cities in the world, full of historical glamour and modern chic. Colosseum

6 The Trevi Fountain ( in Rome) is an 18th Century Bacchanalian work of art where you must throw coins in for good luck. For entertainment there are open air concerts in the summer, wine bars and trendy restaurants. Rome is small enough for relaxed sightseeing, and is easy to get around on foot.

7 VENICE is a dream that shines on the waters, a city of painted palaces and serene churches. This unique urban masterpiece has canals instead of streets, boats instead of buses, and ornate bridges instead of subways.

8 For those who enjoy, history, art and architecture, then this is the place for you. Venice is steeped in all three, found in galleries, museums, churches, and even on the islands around Venice.

22 Thanksgiving in Italy Italy celebrates Thanks giving, but in a different way than America. The family mealusually consists of Italian recipes (instead of Turkey ) that have been passed down throughout generations. Families gather for a traditional meal during the holiday.

23 Pizza Originating in a part of Italian cuisine, the dish has become papular in many different parts of the world. A shop or restaurant where pizzas are made and sold is called a “pizzeria”. The phrases “pizza parlor”, “pizza place” and “pizza shop” are used in the United States. The term pizza pie is dialectal, and pie is used for simplicity in some contexts, such as among pizzeria staff.

24 SPAGHETTI Spaghetti is a long, thin, cylindrical pasta of Italian origin. A variety of pasta dishes are based on it, from spaghetti with cheese and pepper or garlic and oil to a spaghetti with tomato, meat, and other sauces. Spaghetti is made of semolina or flour and water.

27 ICE CREAM Ice cream is a traditional dessert in Italy. Much is still hand-made by individual gelateria in "produzione propria" ice cream shops. Italian ice cream or gelato is made from whole milk, eggs, sugar, and natural flavorings.
