The book sells for $40.95, and 15,400 copies were sold last year. How much did Jessica receive in payment for last year? Aim: How can we compute pay when based on the amount a person produces? 40.95(15,400) (.10) = total sales= $630,630 $630,630= $6306.30 commission or royalty – pay based upon money from sales, usually expressed in percents.
