1 Write Your Best on demand What is the question asking? Is it persuasive / argumentative or informational / explanatory? What form should it take? Who is your audience?

2 What is the question asking? Read the question and all accompanying information 2-3 times carefully. Many great books have been the subjects of movies. We have had the opportunity to see the characters of William Shakespeare, Stephen King, and JK Rowling, (to name a few), brought to life through Hollywood productions. Some of these are adaptations that may stray from the original work of literature while others strive to stay true to the author’s work. Universal Studios has begun work on a new film version of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and is seeking input from student experts of the novel. Knowing that there have been scores of “Frankenstein movies,” the production staff would like your opinion concerning how to proceed. Does the American public want another adaptation or a film that stays true to Mary Shelley’s original story? Write an essay that argues for an adaptation or a film strict film version of the novel.

13 Every good paper begins with a strong thesis statement or controlling idea. While many believe that cell phones and other electronic devices are nothing more than distractions to education and should be removed from public schools, such technology should be embraced and used in productive ways to enhance and improve the education of our students. Starting a club or organization is not simply a matter of calling together a few friends with similar interests, rather it requires careful planning, foresight, and well-developed goals. An argument could be made that a person who passes a driver’s test once should maintain that earned license for life; however, there is some justification for retesting periodically for enhanced safety on our roadways.
