9. When should I contact my supervisors? -Is this something I need to contact my supervisor with? -Is there a way I can solve this problem myself? -Am I contacting the right person?

10. Consider the appropriate means to contact your supervisor. Don’t call or write too much. If they haven’t responded to your message yet – just wait. Writing 10 more times wont make them respond quicker – it will just make you look crazy! Your supervisor will provide mentorship, but they are not your therapist. Its inappropriate to contact them with personal problems that have nothing to do with the internship.
