3 Campaign Goals To promote and raise awareness of the key messages on how Government can improve conditions for business throughout Ireland To promote the Chamber Network and demonstrate that the Network is engaged on public policy issues To utilize the strength of the Network to promote local Chambers and attract potential members

5 Conference Calls with Chambers Chambers Ireland arranged numerous conference calls with Chambers for consultation and campaign preparation discussions Who? – 16 Chambers participated in conference call briefings – Individual calls with many other Chambers What? – Consultation on manifesto content – Preparation for Social Media Toolkits – Ideas for how to promote GE campaign locally

7 Social Media Toolkits Issued four social media toolkits to the Chamber Network on a weekly basis during campaign Toolkits Included: – Suggested tweets and posts for social media using hash tag Vision2021 – Graphics and images for sharing – Suggestions for election events – Ideas from other Chambers on how to engage online – Important political/media to follow on twitter

10 Chamber Network Engagement Some Chambers adapted the key messages and issued their own localised manifesto Many Chambers hosted Pre-Election Business debates with local candidates

11 Twitter campaign Total tweet impressions from 1 Feb – 26 th Feb Impressions = Number of times users saw tweets on twitter Link Clicks: 940 twitter users clicked the links and therefore viewed the content. Average of 36 link clicks per day Engagement Rate: Average 0.8% = Strong engagement with tweets, hashtag and images

13 Digital Promotion campaign 5 different digital ads began on 15 th February and ran until 26 th February 2016 The ads ran on: – RTE.ie, – Independent.ie, – Done Deal and – Across the MB2.0 network (MB2.0 is a digital network incorporating different highly used sites nationwide – allows targeting of users in our key demographic and with interest in business)
