2 Goals: Long & Short Term AIR Advisory Committee Goals thru 7/25/13 – Understand NonAttainment and Control Strategies – Participate in assessment process – Make voluntary clean air commitments as possible – Assist in Ozone Advance Planning Long Term Goals – Lend your voice to the process – Understand the Region’s changing status and potential impacts for your business

5 Current Strategies in Place CPS Energy: Save For Tomorrow Energy (STEP) – Evaluation of energy efficiency performed by Texas A&M Energy Systems Laboratory, Oct. 2010 * – Goal: conserve 771 megawatts of power by the year 2020 through energy efficiency. – Agreement to update expanding STEP program Include solar photovoltaic facilities (NOx reduction versus traditional fossil-fuel power generation) Proposed: Deely power plants offline in 2018 – Within Ozone Advance planning horizon * http://repository.tamu.edu/bitstream/handle/1969.1/93369/ESL-TR-10-10-01.pdf
