5. Langar – Shared meal
An important part of worship in a Gurdwara is called a Langar. A Langar is a shared meal that Sikhs want as many people to join in with as they can.
Food is always vegetarian so people from different religions and with different dietary requirements can join in
Gurdwara’s always have a large kitchen area where people can eat their meals. Sikh’s who worship at the temple take turns in cooking for everyone else
