3 I have negotiated member benefits from:  Sea Kayaking UK  Lendal  Reed Chillcheater Will all give 20% discount to all members of CE affiliated clubs in the north-east and to CE members in the north east. Additionally they will give 10% of deals to support sea kayaking activities in the north-east Additional Item – Member Benefits

6 It is BCU Policy that volunteers should be paid expenses when they attend meetings. We need to be clear whilst encouraging people to claim (what they then do with the money is up to them). Particularly we need to be clear about RDT membership Expenses

7  If volunteers are attending an event where income goes to North East Region they claim expenses against region  If members of RDT – officers, discipline reps, club reps, RCO & LCOs attend meetings/events of RDT or to represent the RDT they claim from North East Region  If people are attending CE events to represent their club or discipline they claim from CE Proposals

9 1.Promote Surf Kayaking to all paddlers in the north east region via a taster day 2.Develop 6 paddlers (current 3* Inland or Sea standard who are volunteers within Canoe England affiliated clubs) from the region to 4* Surf standard 3.Develop 6 paddlers from Wansbeck Paddle Sports Club to 4* Surf standard 4.Hold formal 4* Surf training for 12 paddlers 5.Have a minimum of 12 paddlers from the north east entering the a Surf Kayak competition in February 2013 6.To host a BCU Surf Committee Surf Fest in March 2013 including 4* Surf Assessment Surf Strategy Summary

11 In terms of attending the meeting and uploading the content though, I’m afraid I won’t be able to make the meeting or upload much more content than I do currently, as I’ve now moved out of the North East and also have a full-time job in addition to my web company, meaning I’m pretty flat out. I can certainly set up multiple additional user accounts though for other people to add content. You just need to find some willing volunteers! Regional Website

14  Focus to be on getting club coaches to Moderate Water Endorsement Level  Clubs would come to the RDT meeting with outline plan for paddlers that they will be supporting to become clubcoaches/leaders over the next year  The RDT would support paddlers in partnership with the clubs  The RDt would pay monies on successful completion of Level 1, Level 2 Assessment and Moderate Water Assessment Proposed Revised support to coaching
