One Day Hire u Use this procedure to hire an employee (for a period of one day) who was terminated prior to go live and their data was not converted into SAP. u This is for the specific purpose of paying a lump sum dollar amount, whether it be retro pay, severance, or any other payment to be made through Additional Payments (IT0015).

One Day Rehire u Use this procedure to rehire an employee (for a specified period) who was previously on SAP and has been terminated. u This will be used for the specific purpose of paying a lump sum dollar amount, whether it be retro pay, severance, or any other payment to be made through the Additional Payments Infotype (IT0015).

10 © 2006 Nova Scotia Government All rights reserved. One Day Termination u Use this One Day Termination procedure to terminate employees who have been hired with the One Day Hire or One Day Rehire actions. u The effective date of this action MUST be the day following the hire action at minimum.

11 © 2006 Nova Scotia Government All rights reserved. ERIP Status On u A teacher retires and a Termination action is processed with reason ERIP. u The employee is then rehired in a substitute teacher position at the employee’s licensed rate. u An ERIP status on action is processed.

Maintain Family Related Person(s) u Perform this procedure when there is a change to the employee’s existing family information such as emergency contact or over age dependent. u Transaction code PA30 is used to maintain this infotype. u It is critical that if a Life Status Change has occurred, for example Marriage, Divorce, Birth of Child, this must be processed through a PA40 Life Status Change Action.

One Day Hire u Use this procedure to hire an employee (for a period of one day) who was terminated prior to go live and their data was not converted into SAP. u This is for the specific purpose of paying a lump sum dollar amount, whether it be retro pay, severance, or any other payment to be made through Additional Payments (IT0015). u The employee will be hired into SAP with a withdrawn status. u This employee will not be paid from Basic Pay (IT0008).

Once the One Day Hire action is completed, Payroll Services must be notified with the names, ID numbers and the effective start date of hire to be loaded into the “Run Payroll Up To” field on the Payroll Status Infotype (IT0003). 3. ERIP Status On/Off u A prerequisite to executing an ERIP Status - On action is the execution of the Termination action for reason ERIP. u The employee is then rehired in a substitute teacher position with the appropriate daily rate of pay to reflect the salary according to the employee’s license level and years of service as per the provisions of the Early Retirement Incentive Plan.
