EPA Project Officer (PO) reviews technical report then approves invoice EPA Technical Specialist reads your report for technical content Contract Specialist maintains contract records Financial Management Center (FMC) processes your invoice (electronic invoice approval system)

7 6 Phase I Monthly Reports Reports: Submit monthly (with invoice) Approx. 2-3 pages Include: Company Name Contract Number Period of Performance Sections Background (short) This month’s results Plan for next month Commercialization success Phase I

8 7 Phase I Monthly Billing Invoices: Payment is monthly increments Payment Schedule for $100,000 5 payments of 18% = $18,000 each Final payment of 10% = $10,000 Please make sure invoice matches monthly report dates Phase I

10 9 Phase II Description Solicitation will be sent directly to all Phase I Companies Develop & Commercialize Phase I Technology Base Award is $300,000 2 years Commercialization Option (up to $100,000) (Must apply for this up front regardless of whether you plan to exercise it or not) Phase II
