CBS Student ID Payment Card CBS Paycardsystem is used to pay for print and copying To activate and use student ID as payment card: 1.Take picture at photostand at Solbjerg Plads or Dalgas Have 2.Collect student ID at it-advisors office at Solbjerg Plads one week after taking your picture 3.Personalise your student ID by adding your username to the card at personalisation stand available at Solbjerg Plads and Dalgas Have 4.Transfer money to the card at machines in libraries at Solbjerg Plads/Dalgas Have

Wireless Network at CBS Wireless Network Coverage Full coverage at Solbjerg Plads, Porcelænshaven, Kilen and Dalgas Have Two networks available at CBS CBS Wlan Open browser and enter user credentials Eduroam – secured network Setup manual available on e-campus / Mail & IT Eduroam is also available at other university campuses in Denmark and Europe (www.eduroam.cbs.dk))

SiteScape E-Learning @ CBS (e-cbs.dk) -Is a platform for study related online activities at CBS Here you can: –Find course relevant information, e.g. course material, teaching notes, ppts, links for academic articles etc. –Discuss study relevant topics with your fellow students and teachers –Create your own team work space for group discussion and common ”storageroom” for files. –Guides about the usage of sitescape is availabe on sitescape and a ”help” search function

17. Some advise on using Sitescape Avoid using bookmarks for Sitescape: all links are dynamic and regularly updated. Investigate the usage of sitescape, there are many functionalities like rss-feed, change of lay-out etc. If in doubt: ask the it-advisors or use the help search and guidelines available on sitescape Problems with sitescape –Need password –Need access to information on sitescape or has access to unrequired information Contact the IT-advisors

18. Library Resources www.cbs.dk/library or via e-campus Search for litterature, book material, renew loaning period etc. E-resourcer – search news articles and journals, statistics, dictionaries and much more Remote access to databases /E-resourcer –through e-resources you can log on to remote access which provides access to selected databases –Check that the database you need is accessible via remote access Use of databases: ask the library Technical help: ask IT-advisors

19. Use of laptop at CBS Requirement: –Updated antivirus programme (e.g. AVG, Avast or other) –Updated Operative System (e.g. Windows XP SP3) Power –There are wall plugs in campus areas and extensions cords are available at IT-advisors offices IT-support: –Borrow headphones, network cables, power plugs and extension cords

20. Rules for using IT-facilities It is prohibited to bring along food and beverages (water bottles included) in the pc rooms and talking on the mobile Violation of regulations induce suspension, and possible quarantine closure of your CBS account If in doubt, please go to www.e-campus under Mail & ITwww.e-campus Sending out spam to CBS students or using CBS account to spam is not allowed: check with your student office! Information must be relevant for the whole year group, or else you risk closure of account
