Right Angle! Right Angle- an angel that is 90 degrees.
3
Acute Angle! Acute Angle- an angle that is less than 90 degrees
4
Obtuse Angle! Obtuse Angel- An angel that is more that 90 degrees.
5
Equilateral Triangle! An Equilateral Triangle is a triangle with all equal sides.
6
Scalene Triangel! Scalene Triangel- A triangle thats sides are all different lengths.
7
Isosceles Triangle! Isosceles Triangle- a triangle with two equal sides
8
Acute Triangle! Acute Triangle- a triangle with all acute angles; less than 90 degrees.
9
Right Triangle! Right Triangle- A triangle that has one right angle in it.
10
Obtuse Triangle! Obtuse Triangle- a triangle with one angle that is more than 90 degrees.
11
Intersecting Lines Intersecting Lines- Two lines that cross or meet at one point
12
Parallel Lines! Parallel Lines- Two lines that never meet.
13
Congruent! Congruent- equal with each other
14
Perpendicular Lines! Perpendicular Lines- Point at which two rays meet. ( Middle of an angel. ) Froms right angles.
15
Adjacent! Adjacent- angles that are next to each other
16
Vertical Lines! Vertical lines- a line(s) going up and down
17
Supplementary Angles! Supplementary Angles- Two angles for which the sum of their measures is 180 degrees.
18
Complementary Angels! Complementary Angels- Two angles fo9r which the sum of their measures is 90 degrees.
19
Quadrilaterals! Quadrilateral- 4 sided polygon that has 360 degrees inside. Trapezoid- Exactly one pair of parallel sides. Parallelogram- Opposite sides that are paralllel and congruent. Rhombus- All four sides are congruent ( The same. ) and it has no right angles. Rectangle- Has four right angles and the opposite sides are congruent with one another. Square- All four sides are congruent and it has four right ( 90 degrees. ) angles.
20
Examples! Trapezoid Rhombus Square Parallelogram Rectangle Parallelogram
21
Radius! Radius- Distance from the middle of circle to endpoint.
22
Diameter! Diameter- line from endpoints of the circle that passes through the middle.
23
Perimeter! Perimeter- The total distance around an enclosed figure. ( Does not involve circle. )
24
Circumfrence! Circumfrence- Distance around a circle.
25
Area Of A Triangle! To figure out the area of a triangle you multiply the base and the height of the triangle divided by two. Base x Height / 2 ( B x H / 2 )
26
Area of a Rhombus! To figure the area of a rhombus you multiply the base and height of the rhombus. Base x Height ( B x H )
27
Area of a Square! To figure out the area of a square you multiply the sides together. Side x Side ( S x S )
28
Area of a Rectangle! To figure out the area of a rectangle you multiply the length and width together. Length x Width ( L x W )
29
Area of a Parallelogram! To figure the area of parallelogram you multiply the base and height. Base x Height ( B x H )
30
Area Of A Circle! To figure out the area of a circle you multiply 3.14 by the radius squared. 3.14 x r squared ( 3.14 x r S )
