6. Saint George Primary school-The place, the building, the pupils, the teachers. By Sofia- Nasia- Ariel Our school is in Saint George, Veria. We are in north Greece, near Thessaloniki. It isn`t a big school. It is opposite the church and the Town Hall. There are 7 classrooms, a computer room and a big yard. There are 14 teachers. There is a teacher`s room and the headmaster`s office. There is a football ground and also a basketball and handball ground. We are 93 students altogether. There are 13 students in our class, E class. Our school is very old, since 1930.We can see some very old photos in the hall of the school. In the afternoon, when we have free time, we meet our friends at the school yard, we chat, and play. We spend so much time at our school and we love it very much.

10. School timetable by Dina- Didi- Laoura- Zacharias School starts at 8.10 in the morning. We have a break after one hour and a half for 20 minutes. Then we have two more breaks, 10 minutes each. We finish at 2.00 but some pupils can stay for afternoon classes until 4.00. We don`t have meals at school. We have snacks like sandwiches, toast, biscuits, juice, fruit. We don`t have a school canteen. Pupils who stay for afternoon classes get their meal from home. We often have school outings. We usually visit museums, go to the theatre, to Seli ski centre, Vergina with the Royal Tombs. Also we have environmental trips to the river, the mountain or to farms of our area.

12. School subjects by George- Kostas- Diogenes At school we have : Greek language, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Religion, Physical education, English, German, Art, Music, Drama. We have different teachers for English, German, P.E, Art. Children who stay for afternoon classes, can do homework, computer classes, sports, English, music. In the afternoon, after school, we go to Saint George Football Academy and we train. We have a very good team. Two years ago, we were champions in the Annual School Football Champion.

15. School holidays by John P.- Joanna- John K. We have school holidays three times a year: Christmas holidays for 2 weeks, in December and January. Easter holidays for 2 weeks, in April and May usually. Summer holidays for 3 months ( 15 June to 11 September) We have two National holidays: on 28 October and 25 March. We say poems, act, sing, dance traditional dances and also take part in parades.
