Split System For regional commercial insertion

www.etere.cometere@etere.com A Structured Approach Etere does not use the same automation structure for primary and splitted channels Etere has a special, simplified automation engine for splitted channels This engine automatically syncs on primary engine and can insert fillers on the fly This structure simplify the split programming and management and give a single operator the ability to control multiple channels

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Broadcast Across Split Networks

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Key Features Main and backup redundancy for split networks Independent video server channels for each network Full GPI support for sending and receiving signals Automatic filling of remaining schedule split clusters Simplified resource management Ability to perform on-the-fly changes

Split Scenarios

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Basic Split System

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Asymmetric Split System

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Complex Split System

Easy Configuration

www.etere.cometere@etere.com “Splitting” Overview Every 1° event in any block has a link to the ‘start split Event Every start split event of a Playlist has a Unique Split event Every end of split has a link to the Split Event If an event with Split Event of the network Playlist will be Cancelled or moved the split event will go to the preceding event If an event of the split Playlist will be cancelled or moved it will loose it’s link, and the link will go to the next preceding or following Item Those 2 features will allow a simplified Playlist editing

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Multiple Regions Etere allows broadcasters to manage any number of regions Each region can be easy configured in Etere interface

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Fillers Configuration Configure so many fillers as required, they will be used to make the splitting duration between networks equal Fillers count with the following properties: –- Description: A brief description about the filler –- Start/End Date: The initial and last validity dates –- Start/End Time: The time slot on which the filler will be allowed –- Minimum duration: The minimum actual length –- Valid Days:The weekdays on which the filler will be available

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Fillers Each split automation will compute how many fillers are necessary to reach the Network duration If the splitted duration is more, the last splitted (s) event will be short to reach the correct duration The fillers must be configured and their choice use different parameters

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Different Channels by Network Assign an independent playout channel to each split network

www.etere.cometere@etere.com GPI Control Configure an input GPI to trigger the split from an external device Send also output GPI’s signals to external devices when a cluster is ready, when it goes on-air or when it finishes

Split From the Schedule

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Splitting Programs Create clusters for the programs to be split across different networks Clusters allows to insert the programs that will be transmitted on the other split networks The duration of the split is, of course, identical across the stations

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Filling Split Networks The “Automatic Filling” feature allows to take up all remaining space by automatically inserting all –predefined- fillers

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Split Clusters View All split clusters can be controlled from a single form that offers a simple view for split programs

Split Management

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Regions Automation A centralized window allows to manage all split networks on real-time All the split process is performed automatically Etere Split waits until Etere Automation indicates which clusters to load and when to send them on air

www.etere.cometere@etere.com Main Automation The main automation highlight all programs that will be transmitted on split networks
