10. 10 Summer Jobs +: Opportunities for the Workforce System About Summer Jobs +  Menu of options from which businesses can choose to assist low-income youth in accessing the skills and opportunities necessary for success in the workforce  Three key ways or “pathways” businesses and organizations can engage in include –Learn and Earn: paid internships and/or permanent positions that provide on-the-job training –Life Skills: soft skills, such as communication, time management and teamwork, including resume writing or interview workshops and mentorship programs –Work Skills: Provide youth insight into the world of work to prepare for employment - job shadow days and unpaid internships
